Funded by Inner West Council

IWA is supported by Inner West Council to organise two events. “Autumn Fun & Celebration Day” and “Spring Fun and Batik Day” in Ashfield Town Hall, which will be held in April & October 2022.

The first event will coincide with autumn and Kartini Day (which is a national day that recognizes R.A. Kartini as a national hero and a pioneer in the emancipation of Indonesian women).

The second event will coincide with National Batik Day which is celebrated every year on October 2nd. Through these events, we will encourage participants to wear autumn colour attire or traditional dress (e.g.: 'kebaya' Indonesian national dress to celebrate her achievements).

Through these events, we will encourage participants to wear autumn colour attire or traditional dress (e.g.: 'kebaya' Indonesian national dress to celebrate her achievements).
